Silent Film Star I: Irene Castle

I was reading "Tender is the Night" by F. Scott Fitzgerald this morning and I had to look up who Irene Castle was for there is a passage in the book that reads "in a second he realized it was her fine-spun hair, bobbed like Irene Castle's and fluffed into curls" I was curious to see who this woman was and turns out she's very pretty. She apparently started the bob haircut trend.
